Join the Friends

Did you know that The Friends of the Commerce Public Library relies on neighbors like YOU for financial support?

The Friends of the Commerce Public Library is a unique group of your neighbors, Friends, and associates who have joined together as a local, not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization which oversees all the fiscal and operational aspects of the library!

Although the City of Commerce provides the historic building we call home, as well as limited funding, everything in the building that makes it a library (books, computers, magazines, DVDs, audio books and local historical items, et.) is owned by the Friends and has been since 1965.  The organization's Executive Board oversees the library's administration and employs the staff.

The Friends work together to not only support life-long learning and education but also play a vital role in the cultural growth of our community.  Help us ensure the library's viability for years to come!  Join us today!
