List of 2011 Honorees:

 

Dorys Crow Grover, PhD, is the author of two books, numerous short stories and articles.

 

Ben King “Doc” Green was a nationally known author of stories of Texas and Western rural life.  His brick will be given posthumously.

 

Debora Schubert Lytle is an artist known for her portraits and has had her work presented at numerous juried exhibitions.

 

Dr. William T. Jack was the author of several works relating to the culture of the Texas Oil Fields in the 1930’s and the New London School explosion.

 

Dr. Alton Biggs is a nationally known author of books and articles on biology and the teaching of biology.  His textbooks are the most used in both the elementary and secondary levels in Texas and nationally.
