Kids and Teens: Books, Websites, and more
Accelerated Reader
The Commerce Public Library has many books that are part of the Accelerated Reader Program at area public schools and, as an on-going project, is adding the AR information to the library catalog and marking the books with AR spine stickers and stickers inside the book with AR interest level, reading level and point value. Until the project of marking the books and including the information in the library catalog is complete, parents and students may check to see if there is a quiz available for a particular book from Renaissance Learning by visiting the AR BookFinder
The library is planning to mark all books that Renaissance Learning (the company that brings us Accelerated Reader) has available. Individual campuses differ in the quizzes they make available to students. Parents and students should contact their individual campus librarians or Accelerated Reader coordinators for this information.
